I use my powerpoint math stations product to keep my kids rotating through the 4 math stations each day. The 4 stations are: computers, small group with me, math journal, and math games. So there is only 1 tub that I use for math station 3 (the center games station). Does that make sense? Also, my school uses the common core state standards but no specific math program.
Thanks for asking. Please email me if you want to chat more about it. I LOVE using math stations!! lauraado@gmail.com
Laura Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11827392450140876783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7129087518088071762.post-88457840751657988392013-08-03T15:48:51.055-04:002013-08-03T15:48:51.055-04:00Can you give me details on how you do your math st...Can you give me details on how you do your math stations? I was going to do something similar by putting numbers on the tubs and place games and activities in the tubs. Would love to see how you display your board that tells the students what station they will be going to. Also, what math program do you teach? WE have Investigations Math. Thanks a bunch! Happy teaching!Shan49https://www.blogger.com/profile/10285184087837896620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7129087518088071762.post-56710374383896967052013-03-27T12:09:49.673-04:002013-03-27T12:09:49.673-04:00Awesome! My advice is to keep your teacher group low key at first so you can bounce around and check on the other math stations. Also you might want to give your students a week or so to get used to the routine. I'm excited for you!
Thanks for sharing!! I'm off to check out your blog now!!
Laura
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11827392450140876783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7129087518088071762.post-15078941606846465402013-03-25T20:02:23.571-04:002013-03-25T20:02:23.571-04:00You have inspired me! I have a small class this year-only 15, so I should only need three groups.
Thanks for sharing, I'm a new follower.
Hunter's Tales from TeachingBethany Hunterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12304642220863454586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7129087518088071762.post-39489234162834924062013-03-24T17:09:33.494-04:002013-03-24T17:09:33.494-04:00Small groups are the way to go.
